Proverbs 15:5
A foolish person turns his back on how his father has trained him.
But anyone who accepts being corrected shows understanding
The home is an essential training ground for our children. I hope that as we teach them what we have learned over the years and the lessons we are still learning, they'll listen.
Our precious little ones, however, have minds of their own and don't always believe "father knows best". They think their ways are better than ours.
Why be a fool, lacking in sense, judgment and discretion, when wisdom is available for the receiving (James 1:5)? Being humble and having the ability to receive instructions opens our children (and us) up to blessing.
